The Communication Production Laboratory Custodian is responsible for technical operation, maintenance, and management of the BA Communication Production Laboratory. This role ensures the safe, efficient and pedagogically aligned use of facilities and equipment to support academic instruction, media production and student learning.

  • Handling Technical Operations, performing daily maintenance and managing resources to ensure that all equipment, like audio visual tools, editing suites and production areas, are in good working order
  • Strong Organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast- paced academic environment
  • Ensure high-touch areas are disinfected regularly to promote a safe environment for students and staff.
  • Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage, tracking, and timely maintenance.
  • Navigating or Soundproofing and Acoustic Panels, monitor environment, dust cleaning and inspection,
  • Maintain Microphones and Pop Filters, Wipe external surfaces, cable connectors, and Clean pop fillers
  • Mixing Console, Dust cleaning electronics cleaning, firmware updates, and connector check
  • Recording Booth- Visual checking, clean surfaces, Inspect seals and audio insulation, clean air visuals
  • Outboard Gear,- Visual checking, Basic cleaning, Functionality test and update firmware, Internal dust removal
  • DAW and Computer- Save sessions/ backups/ Software update backups nad hardware cleaning
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure that all devices are in proper working order, and coordinate with maintenance teams for any necessary repairs.
  • Previous experience in a custodial or laboratory custodian of studio operations
  • Familiarity with safe cleaning methods, handling of equipment, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a supportive team member in a dynamic educational environment.

  • Good communication skills to effectively support laboratory users and collaborate with faculty.

  • Atleast 1 year work experience as Tech Support

  • BS Electrical Communication Engineer , Broadcasting Technology graduates is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php16,000.00 per month
