Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
- Receive and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials.
- Accurately record stock movements in the inventory system.
- Perform regular cycle counts and participate in monthly and year-end physical inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of low stock or discrepancies.
2. Warehouse Operations
- Safely store items in designated warehouse areas, maintaining proper segregation between raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Arrange and organize stock using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) methods.
- Assist in preparing and staging materials required by the production team.
- Ensure correct documentation (receiving reports, issue slips, return forms) is completed accurately.
3. Equipment and Safety
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and weighing scales properly and safely.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety protocols.
- Ensure cleanliness, pest control, and sanitation in the storage areas.
4. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate and updated inventory records in manual logs and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for submission to management.
- Report any irregularities, damaged stock, or non-conforming products to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Must be a College Graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related courses.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or stockroom setting is preferred, ideally in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Fresh graduates with strong potential and relevant internship experience may also be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
- Ability to use computers for data entry and reporting (MS Excel, inventory software).
- Physically fit; able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety and food hygiene standards is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Honest, dependable, and a team player.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment (cold storage or dry storage depending on area assignment).
- May involve lifting, bending, and long hours of standing.
- Use of PPE required (gloves, masks, hairnets, etc.).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inventory accuracy rate
- Timeliness of stock issuance and receiving
- Compliance with FIFO/FEFO
- Housekeeping and organization of warehouse
- Zero discrepancy rate during audit
