Stock Custodian

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

• Receive and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials.
• Accurately record stock movements in the inventory system.
• Perform regular cycle counts and participate in monthly and year-end physical inventory.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of low stock or discrepancies.

2. Warehouse Operations

• Safely store items in designated warehouse areas, maintaining proper segregation between raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Arrange and organize stock using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) methods.
• Assist in preparing and staging materials required by the production team.
• Ensure correct documentation (receiving reports, issue slips, return forms) is completed accurately.

3. Equipment and Safety

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and weighing scales properly and safely.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety protocols.
• Ensure cleanliness, pest control, and sanitation in the storage areas.

4. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain accurate and updated inventory records in manual logs and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for submission to management.
• Report any irregularities, damaged stock, or non-conforming products to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Must be a College Graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related courses.

Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or stockroom setting is preferred, ideally in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Fresh graduates with strong potential and relevant internship experience may also be considered.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
• Ability to use computers for data entry and reporting (MS Excel, inventory software).
• Physically fit; able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety and food hygiene standards is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Honest, dependable, and a team player.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment (cold storage or dry storage depending on area assignment).
• May involve lifting, bending, and long hours of standing.
• Use of PPE required (gloves, masks, hairnets, etc.).

• Inventory accuracy rate
• Timeliness of stock issuance and receiving
• Compliance with FIFO/FEFO
• Housekeeping and organization of warehouse
• Zero discrepancy rate during audit
