GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO's customers include: Angel Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown.

COMPLIANCE AND QUALITY OFFICER

The position will be in-charge in monitoring and ensuring the quality and food safety of the products, processes and the whole operation

  • Acts as the primary Internal Quality Auditor of the organization and verify compliance with food safety and quality requirements
  • Identifies and provides resolutions for non-conformities in the processes
  • Maintains an updated quality management system and requirements for the certifications of ISO, Halal, HACCP and other regulatory bodies
  • Ensures implementation of corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings

Requirements

  • Graduate of any engineering degree or related science field - Chemistry, Food Technology or its equivalent
  • Experience in quality control and internal auditing pertaining to ISO, HACCP and Halal compliance and standards preferably in
  • Highly proficient in documentation and report writing
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience as Safety Officer and PCO, an advantage.
