Ascendion is a leading provider of digital engineering and talent solutions, helping clients transform their businesses through innovation and technology. We are currently seeking a talented Essbase Developer/Support professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our enterprise performance management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Essbase cubes and applications.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Essbase environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Build and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, and report scripts.
  • Manually load data from sources such as GCP-UDP.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and finance teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Integrate Essbase with other Oracle EPM modules and data sources.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, calculations, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams for patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
  • Document support procedures and maintain a knowledge base for recurring issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Essbase.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and OLAP technologies.
  • Proficiency in writing calculation scripts, load rules, and MDX queries.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, or other EPM tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and Scrum methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Willingness to work on a shifting schedule as needed.
