About the role

As the Prior Authorization Team Leader at access healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team of specialists responsible for securing approvals and authorisations for healthcare services on behalf of patients. This full-time, office-based role in Pasay City, Metro Manila will have you leading a high-performing team and ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of prior authorisation requests.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the prior authorisation team, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met
  2. Provide coaching, training and mentoring to team members to develop their skills and knowledge
  3. Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and eliminate bottlenecks
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and payer requirements to ensure compliance
  6. Escalate complex issues to senior management and liaise with clients as needed
  7. Foster a positive team culture and champion the company's values and mission

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a healthcare BPO or prior authorisation environment
  2. Strong working knowledge of healthcare insurance and prior authorisation processes
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
  4. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
  5. Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with reporting/analytics tools
  6. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail
