The Material Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accurate planning, tracking, and movement of materials within the production cycle. This role ensures that raw materials, electronic components, and finished goods are properly monitored, available on time, and compliant with inventory policies to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Planning & Coordination

  • Monitor material requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Track critical electronic components with long lead times to avoid shortages.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Conduct cycle counts and participate in stock audits.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess materials and recommend disposal or usage strategies.

Material Flow & Control

  • Ensure proper issuance of materials to production lines.
  • Monitor and control material usage to minimize waste and shortages.
  • Oversee material returns and reconcile discrepancies.

Supplier & Internal Coordination

  • Work with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Liaise with engineering, purchasing, and quality teams for material-related requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all material transactions are properly documented and aligned with company policies.
  • Support compliance with ISO, ESD, and other electronics manufacturing standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in material control, inventory management, or production planning (preferably in electronics/semiconductor/EMS industry).
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, ISO Awareness Program, QMS Procedure, MC Procedure and MAX System Training.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, BOM structures, and PCB assembly processes is an advantage.
  • Strong Logistics Management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory control tools.
