Role Overview:

This position is accountable for driving the successful execution of strategic sourcing and contracting initiatives. The role ensures sourcing activities support overall company goals by optimizing spend, minimizing risks, and working closely with key teams to achieve savings and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to spot sourcing opportunities and align contracting plans with business strategies.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to use spend data, commodity trends, and market insights to identify cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Carry out supply chain risk reviews to help maintain supply continuity and reduce risks.
  • Find qualified suppliers and craft data-backed sourcing approaches.
  • Coordinate with technical, legal, and commercial teams during the contracting cycle.
  • Prepare and recommend contract terms and templates, ensuring they reflect technical requirements and risk factors.
  • Develop and lead negotiation strategies in collaboration with legal and technical teams.
  • Work with insurance, logistics, finance, safety, and environmental teams to secure input for robust contract terms and negotiation plans.
  • Help create negotiation frameworks outlining preferred results, acceptable terms, and alternatives.
  • Conduct financial and technical bid assessments to support award recommendations.
  • Manage contract deployment and ensure proper alignment across relevant teams.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships and address any issues related to delivery, payment, or contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to vendor performance checks and help identify areas for improvement in sourcing and supplier management.
  • Provide regular reports to the SCM group to ensure alignment with cost control and sourcing strategies.
  • Work hand in hand with Procurement Operations and SCM teams to ensure smooth execution of plans.
  • Handle contract renewals, renegotiations, or necessary changes.
  • Support other SCM functions in meeting targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related, behavioral science, or technical field (Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain or similar areas
  • Engineering or technical background is a plus
  • Must have project experience; familiarity with project and supply risk management is a benefit
