Job Description: Logistics ManagerThe Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of cosmetics products from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining product quality and compliance with industry standards. This role requires proven experience in handling end-to-end operations, including inventory control, warehouse management, and supply chain optimization, to reduce costs, minimize losses, and improve service efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics & Distribution Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods from manufacturing facilities to warehouses, and from warehouses to retail outlets, distributors, and customers.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with logistics service providers and freight forwarders.

    Ensure compliance with delivery schedules while minimizing transportation and operational costs.

2. Inventory Control

  • Oversee inventory management systems to track stock levels, product batches, and expiry dates.
  • Implement accurate demand forecasting and replenishment strategies to avoid stock-outs and overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile variances.

3. Warehouse Management

  • Supervise warehouse layout, product storage, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to maintain quality standards, particularly for sensitive cosmetics products.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements within storage facilities.
  • Optimize warehouse operations for faster order fulfillment and reduced handling costs.

4. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff and inventory clerks.
  • Foster collaboration with procurement, sales, and production teams to align supply with demand.

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and warehouse productivity.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in logistics, warehouse, inventory management, and handling overall operations, preferably in cosmetics, FMCG, or retail.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Familiarity with FIFO, FEFO, and cold-chain requirements for cosmetics storage.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
