STRATEGIC VALUE AND JUSTIFICATION:

A strategic imperative to ensure project alignment with long-term business goals, preventing costly overruns and creating a cohesive system architecture. This role avoids creating a new set of disconnected, siloed systems.

The role of an Enterprise Architect is crucial in ensuring that an organization's technology infrastructure aligns with its business strategy, ultimately driving efficiency and innovation. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate the complexities of modern IT environments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Strategic Alignment: Develops and maintains the enterprise architecture framework that aligns IT strategy with business objectives, ensuring that technology investments support the overall goals of the organization.

  1. System Design: Establishes design principles (e.g., API-First, Microservices); designs and oversees the implementation of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.

  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with various stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams, to understand their needs and ensure that the architecture meets those requirements.

  3. Technology Assessment: Evaluates new technologies and industry trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture and recommends improvements; defines technology and application roadmaps.

  4. Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks associated with IT systems, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

  5. Documentation: Creates and maintains documentation related to the architecture, including models, standards, and guidelines for IT systems; holds architectural reviews and provides designs for key projects.

KEY SKILLS/EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

 A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field in IT related discipline; trained and certified in IT related professional course; having a Project Management training and certificate is necessary for the enterprise architect role; advance degrees or certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) preferred

 An enterprise architect must be a computer savvy; with profound knowledge of computer languages such as C++, Basic.Net, Java, and HTML is very important; Experience with methodologies like TOGAF or Zachman. Good knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Mac OS X, Novell Netware, Windows and Linux) and application servers
