The Trade Marketing Specialist plays a key role in driving brand visibility, product availability, and sales performance at the point of purchase. This role is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies, managing promotional campaigns, and ensuring alignment between marketing and sales objectives. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to strengthen the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement trade marketing plans to support sales and brand objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align strategies with business goals.

2. Promotions & Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor in-store promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and sales teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and provide insights for future improvements.

3. Point-of-Sale (POS) & Merchandising

  • Ensure proper placement of POS materials, displays, and brand visibility at retail outlets.
  • Work closely with visual merchandising teams to maintain brand consistency.
  • Monitor retail execution and provide feedback to enhance in-store presence.

4. Sales Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with the sales team to develop promotional toolkits and selling strategies.
  • Support distributors and retail partners by providing marketing collateral and training.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and retail trends.

5. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track ROI and KPIs for all trade marketing activities.
  • Prepare monthly reports on campaign performance, sales uplift, and market share growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or retail marketing, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Strong understanding of channel dynamics, customer insights, and retail marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and marketing analytics tools.
  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
