The Project Manager for Marketing and Product Development will be the driving force behind auro cafe's growth initiatives. This pivotal role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and launch of new menu items (products) and coordinating all supporting marketing campaigns to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and align with our brand and strategic business goals. This role requires a blend of excellent project management skills, culinary/food passion, and marketing acumen.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Management:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables for all new product launches (e.g., seasonal drinks, new pastries, retail merchandise) and major marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets from concept through to launch and post-launch review.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Culinary/Barista Team, Marketing Team (internal or external agency), Operations, and Purchasing, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, resolving issues and escalating to leadership as necessary to keep projects on track.

2. Product Development Oversight (Focus on Execution):

  • Facilitate the product development lifecycle, ensuring new recipes/products are tested, refined, and meet quality, cost, and operational standards.
  • Act as the liaison between the culinary team and marketing to establish clear product positioning, unique selling propositions, and target customer profiles for all new offerings.
  • Coordinate internal and customer sensory testing/focus groups for new products, gathering feedback and managing iteration cycles.

3. Marketing Campaign Coordination:

  • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting product launches, brand initiatives, and seasonal promotions (e.g., in-store signage, social media content, email marketing, PR).
  • Ensure all marketing collateral and communications are on-brand, accurate, and ready for deployment according to the project timeline.
  • Manage external vendors and agencies (e.g., designers, photographers, print shops) as needed for campaign materials.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for new product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Track project performance, analyze results (sales data, customer feedback, campaign metrics), and prepare post-mortem reports to inform future strategies.
  • Provide regular, clear communication and status updates to leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and results.
