IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Minimum 
    5 years' experience in financial analysis
    , 
    data analytics
    , or management reporting.
  • 5+ years of advanced MYOB expertise
    , ensuring accurate financial inputs, tracking, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in 
    Excel
    , with at least 
    5 years of experience.
  • Preferably with experience in 
    Harvest
     (or similar timesheet/project management platforms)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • You're supportive of your teams, providing accurate financial visibility and weekly updates.
  • You are accountable for budget monitoring and raising flags when needed.

YOUR DAILY TASKS

  • Extract, consolidate, and analyse financial and operational data from MYOB and Harvest systems.
  • Analyse timesheet data from Harvest, comparing hours spent against budgeted allocations; provide weekly variance reports.
  • Prepare ~30 annual cost estimates, set and maintain client-approved budgets, and closely monitor monthly actuals to ensure financial alignment.
  • Build progressive monthly invoices, capturing both pay plan revenue and expenses incurred to date.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate actual performance versus budgeted expenditure and head hours.
  • Support directors with regular reporting, forecasting, and recommendations for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline current Excel-based processes (e.g., automation, dashboards, or alternative software solutions).
