Your Role:
As a Data Analyst, You Will
The Data Analyst is responsible for analysing and interpreting data; developing, delivering and reporting on data to share insights aimed at driving improvements to financial performance, ROI, Customer insights, pricing and trends. The ideal candidate will combine technical and Consumer data expertise, commercial acumen, and a solutions-focused mindset. With the ability to Interpret large data sets and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions.

Responsible for developing, analysing and interpreting data; utilise your expertise to optimize business performance:

• Collect, interpret and analyse data to improve the business; influence business decision making
• Maintain an accurate data analytic structure for the business using multiple data bases
• Create complex queries using multiple languages to retrieve, update, insert and manipulate data (SQL, Python, PowerShell, DAX)
• Generate smart reporting to measure business key performance indicators using BI tools (Power BI)
• Detect trends and sales opportunities by performing consumer buying behaviour analysis
• Bring value to stakeholders by providing insightful reports using visualizations and statistical methodologies
• Perform ad hoc analysis for the wider United Petroleum Group (fuel, shop sales)
• Assist in developing comprehensive dashboards, reports with an end-to-end view
• Ability to present clear and concise data to senior management, assist and influence decision making
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Support the Fuel Pricing, Merchandise, Operations, leadership, property, Repairs and Maintenance on department and company wide data and analytics

What You Need:
Non-negotiables

• 5+ years experience in business intelligence/analytics
• Highly proficient or must have advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerBI.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Tableau and SQL.
• Experience in building dashboards, data visualization and presentation
• Have worked with large data
