Role Description:

As a Cost Analyst he/she will be assisting management by overseeing an analyzing cost expenditures and purchases. Additionally, he/she will be reviewing services and goods, and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options. He/she will be guiding the business and individuals in decisions about expending the money to attain profit. And also, he/she will perform cost sensitivity analysis for possible acquisitions, product development and business expansions.

Responsibilities:

COST ANALYST ROLE

  • Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results
  • Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Make estimate of the new and proposed product costs
  • Assist in audits and general ledger preparation
  • Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.

FINANCIAL ANALYST ROLE

  • Assist in ensuring budgets are uploaded in the system accurately
  • Monthly checking of budget expense per area and report the same to each area
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or any related field (essential)
  • At least 3 years of experience with any accounting role
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Excellent report writing, communication skills, and IT skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, familiarity with data query/ data management tools is extremely helpful
