The Purchasing Supervisor supports the Purchasing Manager in overseeing the company's procurement operations. This role ensures that all materials, equipment, and services are purchased efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies. The Assistant Purchasing Manager coordinates with suppliers, manages purchasing staff, monitors inventory levels, and helps implement strategies to improve the purchasing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the purchasing activities of the company.

Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and service.

Negotiate contracts and purchase terms to secure the best value for the company.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast purchasing needs.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and supplier invoices.

Prepare cost analyses, price comparisons, and supplier performance reports.

Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal departments.

Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.

Supervise and mentor purchasing staff to ensure adherence to company standards.

Coordinate with accounting and logistics for payment and delivery schedules.

Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, or delivery delays promptly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management; 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred.

Strong knowledge of procurement principles, inventory management, and vendor relations.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
