Role Overview

The SAP WM Consultant (TAIO) – Manufacturing (Infant Formula) will play a key role in

Technical Analysis, Implementation, and Optimization (TAIO) of SAP Warehouse Management

solutions tailored for a regulated manufacturing environment. The consultant will ensure

warehouse and logistics processes align with strict infant formula quality, traceability, and

compliance standards — integrating seamlessly with production, quality, and logistics systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Analysis


• Analyze current warehouse and logistics operations within the infant formula

manufacturing process (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).


• Identify system gaps and develop solutions ensuring regulatory compliance (FDA, GMP,

FSMA) and traceability requirements.


• Collaborate with business process owners to gather, document, and validate business

requirements.


• Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD) and Technical Specifications (TSD) for SAP

WM configurations, enhancements, and integrations.


• Conduct feasibility studies for batch management, lot tracking, and warehouse automation

(RF, barcode scanning, conveyor systems).

Implementation


• Configure SAP WM to support batch and lot-managed inventory for infant formula

ingredients and products.


• Set up warehouse structure based on hygiene zoning and allergen segregation.


• Integrate with SAP PP, QM, MM, SD, and LE modules.


• Develop and execute test cases ensuring traceability and compliance.


• Support regulatory audits and ensure documentation meets compliance standards.

Optimization


• Assess warehouse performance and identify system-based improvements.


• Streamline material flows between production, blending, filling, and packaging areas.


• Enhance FIFO/FEFO and expiry date management strategies.


• Provide training and knowledge transfer to warehouse and production teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related

discipline.


• 5+ years of SAP WM experience, including full-cycle implementation in manufacturing or

process industry.


• Strong understanding of batch management, lot traceability, and regulated warehouse

processes.


• Experience integrating SAP WM with PP, QM, MM, SD, and LE.


• Hands-on experience with RF devices, barcode scanning, and warehouse automation.


• Knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements.


• Proficient in SAP tools: LSMW, IDOCs, BAPIs, and user exits.

Preferred Qualifications


• Experience in food or dairy manufacturing, specifically infant formula or nutritional

products.


• Familiarity with S/4HANA WM or Embedded EWM.


• SAP Certification in WM or Logistics Execution.


• Exposure to MES integration and serialization solutions.


• Knowledge of SAP QM and batch determination.

• Ability to translate operational challenges into SAP process solutions.
