Director of Amazon Supply Chain

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Director of Amazon Supply Chain to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations for Amazon. This role will be responsible for demand planning, inventory flow, fulfillment, logistics, and vendor management, with a strong focus on Amazon FBA/FBM. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Amazon supply chain operations and a proven ability to drive efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction. This is a remote position that requires availability during Central Time Zone working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Leadership

• Lead and manage the full supply chain lifecycle for Amazon channels (FBA, FBM, 3PL).
• Build and execute scalable supply chain strategies that support growth and seasonal peaks.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon's operational requirements and performance standards.

Inventory & Demand Planning

• Forecast demand accurately and manage inventory allocation to Amazon FCs.
• Maintain healthy stock levels, minimize aged inventory, and avoid stockouts or overstock penalties.
• Implement tracking systems and dashboards for real-time performance visibility.

Operations & Logistics

• Direct inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with carriers and 3PL partners.
• Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs while meeting delivery standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate replenishment to Amazon warehouses.

Data & Performance Analytics

• Monitor and analyze KPIs such as IPI (Inventory Performance Index), OTIF, lead times, and fulfillment rates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements through data insights.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on supply chain health and performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
• Support product launches, promotional events, and demand surges.
• Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on Amazon supply chain operations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years managing Amazon supply chain operations.
• Proven leadership experience at the director level or above.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, and FBA processes.
• Strong expertise with ERP systems, forecasting, and inventory management tools.
• Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms).
• Experience with 3PL management, freight, and international logistics.

Soft Skills

• Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones (aligned with Central Time Zone).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing supply chains for 8- or 9-figure Amazon businesses.
• Certification or knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain optimization practices.
• Experience negotiating freight contracts and optimizing logistics costs.
