JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Planning, preparing and carrying out of individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
  • Performance/conduct of rehabilitation procedures prescribed by the Head, PMR
  • Providing of information to the patient about the proposed intervention, its material risks and expected benefits and any reasonable alternatives.
  • Proper maintenance of instruments and apparatus of the department
  • Recording of findings to develop or revise treatment programs and keeping daily census of patients
  • Recording of treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enters information into computer
  • Administration of manual exercise to improve and maintain function; massage, applying knowledge of massage techniques and body physiology; traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment
  • Evaluation of effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
  • Recording of treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or entering of information into the patient's chart / computer.
  • Testing and measurement of patient's strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and record data.
  • Informing of patient and family about treatment procedures to be continued at home
  • Conferring with physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, notes/suggests revisions in treatment program, and integrates physical therapy treatment with other aspect of patient's health care.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, PTRP
  • Preferably with one (1) year of relevant work experience
  • People Skills; Communication Skills;
  • Pro-active; Attention to Details; Team Player; Highly Organized
  • Two (2) Full-Time positions available
