About the Job

Our esteemed client, an Australian Registered Training Organization (RTO), is looking for an 
Instructional Designer
. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for digitizing training resources and creating engaging learning content for deployment in their Learning Management System. This includes designing SCORM-compliant eLearning packages, presentations, and learner guides that meet Australian vocational training standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Development:
    Digitize and adapt existing training and assessment resources for use in Axcelerate LMS.
  • Instructional Design:
    Design learner guides, presentations, and SCORM-compliant eLearning packages that enhance learner engagement.
  • Content Formatting:
    Format and refine content in PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat to ensure consistency with brand and training strategy.
  • Learning Experience Creation:
    Build visually engaging and instructionally sound learning experiences aligned with Australian vocational training standards.
  • Collaboration & Compliance:
    Work with SMEs and compliance teams to ensure resources meet training package requirements and RTO policies.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Conduct QA checks and troubleshoot issues with digital learning content in the LMS.
  • Accessibility:
    Ensure resources are accessible, mobile-friendly, and compatible across devices.
  • Project Management:
    Manage workload independently, prioritize tasks to meet project timelines, and maintain version control/documentation for all resources.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in any relevant courses
  • Experience:
    1-2 years of demonstrated experience in instructional design, learning resource development, or eLearning content creation
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in Learning Management Systems, SCORM package, eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, iSpring, or similar),
    Microsoft Applications, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Soft Skills:
     Excellent written English, communication, problem-solving, and independent time management skills; high attention to detail with a compliance focus
  • Language:
     English (excellent written and spoken communication)
