Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced Cost Estimator with a strong background in accounting to join our construction and project management team. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This role plays a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities: Estimating and Cost Analysis

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, construction specifications, and project scope documents.
• Develop and maintain unit cost databases and historical data for accurate future estimates.
• Assess risks and identify areas with potential cost overruns or savings.

Budgeting and Financial Reporting

• Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to develop project budgets and financial models.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts and variance analysis reports.
• Track actual project costs and compare them against original estimates to identify discrepancies.
• Generate and present cost reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.

Vendor and Supplier Coordination

• Obtain bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate proposals for cost efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.

Accounting Integration

• Work closely with the accounting department to ensure cost estimates align with financial reporting standards.
• Reconcile cost estimates with actual expenses in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP software).
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, including auditing support when needed.

Project Support and Collaboration

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and procurement teams to support successful project delivery.
• Participate in project meetings to provide financial insights and cost-saving recommendations.
• Adjust cost estimates and budgets as project scope evolves or conditions change.

Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or CPA (preferred but not required).

Experience:

• 3–5+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably with a commercial or residential general contractor.
• Proven background in accounting or financial analysis related to construction or engineering projects.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc).
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php35,000.00 per month
