Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly dependable Part-Time Accounting and Finance Assistant to support our Beyond the Books service line.

This role is best suited for someone who prefers structured work, values technical accuracy, and takes pride in producing clean, reliable financial outputs. You will support bookkeeping, accounting, monthly analysis, and tax estimation for US based clients while working within clearly defined processes and expectations.

The position will begin at approximately 24 to 80 hours per month, with the potential to increase up to 144 hours per month as client demand grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting and Finance Support
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform account reconciliations
• Process invoices, expenses, and payments with high attention to detail
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Assist with financial analysis, variance reviews, and trend identification
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
• Assist with tax estimation and compliance-related tasks
• Ensure documentation and workpapers are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Follow established accounting processes and contribute to continuous process improvement
• Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Compensation

• Part-time, fully remote role
• Fixed work hours, 1 pm PST to 5 pm PST.
• Pay range: $10 to $15 per hour, depending on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA required
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience
• Big 4 or advisory firm experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience supporting US based companies or clients
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks required
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work independently within structured processes
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
