JOB OBJECTIVE:
To lead the development and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications by leveraging expertise in SAP ABAP, low-code/no-code platforms, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and Microsoft SharePoint. This role focuses on driving digital transformation, optimizing business processes, and integrating legacy systems with modern cloud-based solutions. Additionally, to oversee the full lifecycle of custom applications and platform solutions, ensuring seamless integration and effective use of tools such as O365, Zoom, , and cFlow. Responsibilities include system configuration, user training, vendor coordination, and ensuring IT solutions align with business objectives. Strong proficiency in project management, quality assurance, and vendor relationship management is essential for maintaining system reliability and performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application Development & Lifecycle Management
• Lead and oversee the full application development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Drive the adoption and implementation of low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate development and empower citizen developers.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Leverage SAP BTP to build and integrate cloud-native applications, extensions, and enterprise-wide integrations.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP systems, SharePoint, and other enterprise applications.
• Manage and enforce application development governance, methodologies, and best practices.
Platform & System Management
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of enterprise platforms such as Office 365 (O365), Zoom, , Slack, CFlow, Odoo, and others.
• Ensure platform implementations align with business needs and integrate effectively with existing systems.
• Manage system updates, upgrades, and integrations to maintain performance, security, and compliance.
• Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements.
Project & Resource Management
• Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendors to enhance organizational capabilities.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including rigorous testing, validation, and code reviews.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of applications and platforms to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures related to application development and platform management.
User Support & Training
• Provide ongoing support for applications and platforms, addressing user issues and technical challenges in a timely manner.
• Develop and deliver training programs for end-users on new applications and platform features.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and system specifications.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-code/no-code platforms, SAP ABAP, SAP BTP, and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the development team.
• Propose and implement optimizations to enhance performance, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience/ Expertise:
o 5+ years of experience in application development,1 with a focus on SAP environments.
o Leadership & Management: At least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role, overseeing development teams or IT projects.
o Project Management: Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery.
o Platform Experience: Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing platforms such as communication and collaboration tools (e.g., O365, Zoom), project management software (e.g., ), CRM systems, ERP solutions (e.g., Odoo), cloud storage, ITSM platforms, and version control systems.
Technical Expertise:
o SAP Development: Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, including custom development and enhancements. Proficiency with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for cloud application development, integration, and deployment. Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, including APIs, web services, and middleware.
o Low-Code/No-Code Platforms: Hands-on experience with SAP Build Apps, Microsoft Power Platform, Odoo, and similar platforms.
o Microsoft SharePoint: Experience with SharePoint development and customization (e.g., SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server), including integration with other enterprise applications.
o Development Methodologies & Tools: Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment. Experience implementing quality assurance practices, system audits, and performance monitoring.
