About the Role:
We are looking for a
Billing Customer Support Specialist
with hands-on experience in U.S. healthcare billing and patient support. This is a full-time remote role for candidates
based in the Philippines
, with a monthly compensation of
$500
.
The selected candidate will work night shifts aligned with
U.S. Central Time (9 AM – 6 PM CST)
.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for making patient collection calls, verifying insurance benefits, and providing exceptional support for patient billing inquiries. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and prior experience in healthcare billing are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient billing questions and concerns.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for healthcare services.
- Accurately update patient accounts and maintain detailed documentation.
- Assist the billing team in resolving discrepancies and gathering required information.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and protect all patient information.
- Prepare basic reports and coordinate with team leads as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be
based in the Philippines
(remote role). - Availability to work
9 AM – 6 PM CST
. - Minimum 1 year of experience in U.S. medical billing, revenue cycle management, benefit verification, or patient collections.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, especially over the phone.
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations professionally and empathetically.
- Proficiency with EMRs, billing platforms, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and basic reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and reliability.
