The Training Supervisor is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of all training and development programs for restaurant staff. This role is crucial for ensuring that all employees, from new hires to seasoned team members, have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs at a high level. The Training Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining brand standards, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth across all outlets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Program Development & Management

  • Design and develop training materials, modules, and manuals for all front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) positions.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate training sessions for new hires, including orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Regularly review and update training content to reflect changes in company policies, menu items, or operational procedures.
  • Manage the training calendar and track employee participation and completion.

2. On-the-Job Coaching & Evaluation

  • Conduct on-the-job coaching and floor-level training to ensure employees are applying their skills effectively.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through performance reviews, feedback, and skill assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees and managers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Certify employees on key competencies, such as food safety, customer service, and product knowledge.

3. Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with department heads and HR to identify training needs and close skill gaps.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure they are properly equipped to train their own teams and maintain training standards.
  • Communicate training progress and key metrics to management.

4. Performance & Quality Assurance

  • Monitor employee performance and customer feedback to identify training opportunities.
  • Ensure all training programs are in compliance with company standards and relevant industry regulations (e.g., health codes, safety protocols).
  • Implement a system for tracking and reporting on training-related metrics, such as improved productivity or reduced errors.
