Position: Data Engineer

Schedule: Day Shift

Work Set-up: Hybrid (3x onsite in Mandaluyong)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly technical Data Analytics Engineer to join our technology department. This individual will be the central owner of our business systems' data, responsible for managing how data is structured, moved, and prepared for analysis across the organization. The ideal candidate will act as the subject matter expert for our core data stack, including HubSpot, NetSuite, Shopify, and Klaviyo, ensuring data integrity and empowering departments with actionable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data Stewardship & Governance: Serve as the primary owner and steward of data across key business systems, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for all data-related inquiries, providing clear and concise answers to questions from various departments.
  • Data Integration & Mapping: Develop, document, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all data objects, properties, and their mappings between our critical platforms (HubSpot, NetSuite, Shopify, Klaviyo, etc.).
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Management: Design, build, and manage robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from various sources into our central database or data warehouse.
  • Reporting Enablement & Analytics: Collaborate with BI developers and stakeholders to prepare, model, and provide clean, reliable data sets ready for reporting and analysis.
  • Database Management: Utilize strong knowledge of database principles to ensure data is stored efficiently and is optimized for reporting and analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations) to gather requirements, understand their data needs, and translate them into technical solutions.

Qualification

  • Proven experience in a data-focused role such as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or similar.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the data structures within e-commerce and marketing platforms. Direct experience with HubSpot, NetSuite, Shopify, and Klaviyo is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational database concepts. Experience with MS SQL and cloud data warehouses like AWS Redshift is essential. Familiarity with data lake concepts is a significant advantage.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and familiarity with modern data ingestion tools (e.g., Airbyte, Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, or custom scripts).
  • As we use Power BI, direct experience with it is a strong advantage. Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is also valuable for partnering effectively with report developers.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a passion for data integrity and accuracy.
