Job Objective
The Village Engineer is responsible for the overall supervision, operation, and maintenance of all technical facilities and equipment within the village/community. The role ensures efficient, safe, and effective operations while providing excellent service to homeowners and residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
Regular
- Supervise all Multi-Skilled Technicians and technical support staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations; conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee maintenance and proper functioning of all village machinery, equipment, and technical facilities.
- Maintain professional, courteous, and responsive communication with homeowners; ensure all concerns and complaints are addressed promptly.
- Manage and monitor house construction/renovation activities to ensure compliance with village guidelines and the Deed of Restrictions (DOR).
- Oversee village equipment and facilities, ensuring proper use and smooth operations.
- Conduct and supervise march-in/march-out inspections and procedures for homeowners and tenants.
- Enforce company policies, systems, and procedures across all village operations.
- Develop, cascade, and ensure execution of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Supervise all contractors and evaluate their performance.
- Ensure compliance with construction guidelines, safety standards, and operational policies.
- Perform regular walk-around inspections of ongoing construction/renovation works and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Conduct canvassing and procurement of materials for maintenance projects and repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors on planned projects and secure approval from the Building/Village Manager.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Occasional
- Recommend improvements, upgrades, and refurbishment of village facilities and amenities.
- Monitor annual operating budget and ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on maintenance activities, manpower, and equipment conditions.
- Implement professional property management systems and standards as required.
- Ensure implementation of preventive and regular maintenance programs.
- Initiate disciplinary actions for staff and contractors in accordance with policies and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Preferably a Licensed Engineer.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years related experience in property or facility management.
- Strong technical and administrative background; proficient in maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Computer literate, with good communication and organizational skills.
