About the role

Millennium Business Services, Inc.' is seeking a talented and driven Senior Tax Officer to join our dynamic team in our Pasig City Metro Manila office. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and optimising our tax strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax, and withholding tax
  • Conducting tax research and providing analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and mitigate tax risks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of tax strategies
  • Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations, and advising the business on the implications
  • Assisting with tax audits and representing the company in dealings with tax authorities
  • Mentoring and training junior tax team members
  • Continuously improving tax processes and contributing to the overall efficiency of the tax function

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in a tax or finance role, preferably with exposure to a diverse range of industries
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in the Philippines
  • Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and identify tax planning opportunities
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in the use of tax preparation software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • CPA or other relevant tax-related certification is preferred
