About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Licensed Naval Architect to join the growing team at Orion Dockyard Inc. as a full-time Licensed Naval Architect. Based in Orion Bataan, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative naval vessels to support Orion Dockyard's diverse marine engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing innovative and efficient ship designs that meet client requirements and industry standards
  • Conducting hydrodynamic analyses, stability calculations, and structural design assessments
  • Preparing detailed design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and 3D models
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and production personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant maritime regulations and classification society requirements
  • Providing technical support and guidance throughout the construction and commissioning phases
  • Continuously researching and incorporating the latest advancements in naval architecture

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, or related field like mechanical or ocean engineering
  • Must have a professional license
  • At least 2 years of shipyard experience
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, hydrodynamic analysis tools, and ship performance simulation software
  • Strong ability to visualize and work in three-dimensional space is necessary for designing ship structures
  • Strong critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
