Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Video Editor with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of hands-on editing experience and a proven ability to turn raw site footage into polished, engaging content. This role requires advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with an eye for visual storytelling that captures the scale and detail of construction projects.

Responsibilities

Edit raw construction footage into professional-grade video content

Create visually compelling stories that align with the company's branding and messaging

Incorporate motion graphics, transitions, and text overlays using After Effects

Collaborate with marketing, project, and site teams to understand project goals and timelines

Optimise videos for different platforms (website, social media, client presentations, etc.)

Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery

Maintain organised archives of video assets and project files

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience

Proven portfolio of video work within the construction or infrastructure industry

Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Ability to work with drone footage, time-lapse, site walkthroughs, and multi-cam sequences

Excellent attention to detail and visual aesthetics

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines

Desirable

Experience in colour grading and audio mixing

Familiarity with animation tools or 3D modelling software (e.g. Blender, Cinema 4D)

Basic understanding of construction phases or terminology

Photography or videography experience (preferred but not essential)

Software Proficiency

Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Audition or similar audio editing tool (desirable)

Media Encoder or equivalent video export tools

Cloud storage platforms for video delivery and asset sharing (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive)

Personal Attributes

Creative thinker with a strong sense of storytelling

Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality output

Proactive and confident in managing workflows and deadlines

Strong communicator and team collaborator

Adaptable and comfortable working with technical content

Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
