We are seeking a YouTube Video Editor to join a U.S.-focused faceless tech and education channel. The editor will take full creative ownership of producing complete YouTube videos from start to finish — transforming scripts and narration into compelling, visually engaging long-form content for an English-speaking audience. You will handle all visual and audio assembly, including B-roll sourcing, sound design, and light color/sound polishing. The producer will provide occasional footage, voiceovers, and creative direction; you'll be expected to complete the rest independently.

Job Duties

  • Create complete YouTube videos (8–12 minutes typical length) from provided scripts and/or voiceovers.
  • Source and integrate high-quality B-roll, stock footage, and visuals to match narrative flow.
  • Incorporate background music, sound effects, and mix audio to broadcast quality.
  • Perform basic color correction and overall tonal consistency.
  • Organize and maintain project folders (Raw, Assets, Drafts, Finals) with clear labeling.
  • Follow and maintain the channel's visual identity and editing style.
  • Communicate proactively, accept feedback, and deliver within agreed deadlines.
  • Any other related tasks as needed.

Tools & Workflows

  • Editing Software: DaVinci Resolve (preferred) or Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Collaboration: Google Drive for file sharing, Trello/ClickUp for tracking, Loom for async notes.
  • Review: for timestamped feedback.
  • Stock Resources: Start with free (Pexels/Pixabay), scale to paid (Envato Elements / Storyblocks / Artlist) as revenue allows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, mass communication/media studies or any related field(s).
  • 3+ years of professional video editing for YouTube or online education/tech content.
  • Software knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve proficiency; ability to manage full audio mix and light graphics.
  • Ability to deliver storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm suitable for YouTube; judgment in selecting relevant B-roll.
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken) and have strong communication skills for clear collaboration and feedback cycles.
  • Previous editing for faceless or explainer-style YouTube channels.
  • Experience using royalty-free asset libraries (Pexels, Pixabay, Envato Elements, Storyblocks, Artlist).
  • Competence with , Loom, or similar feedback platforms.
  • Strong ear for music and sound balance.
  • Can manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
