Project Engineer

The role of Project Engineer is a critical position within the organization, requiring an individual to play a key role in the successful execution of projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the overall execution of projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality delivery of products or services that meet customer requirements. The Project Engineer will act as a key point of contact between project teams, stakeholders, and clients, and will need to have strong project management and communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees various aspects of workflow, staffing, budget allocation, and scheduling of the assigned project.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure project completion within assigned parameters
  • Develop and maintain project documents, including project plans, task lists, reports, schedules, and timelines
  • Monitor project progress daily to ensure milestones are met
  • Manage project activities, including vendor interactions and contractual obligations
  • Communicate project status regularly to stakeholders and project team members
  • Report regularly to superiors, stakeholders, and clients
  • Participate in project risk management activities
  • Identify and communicate issues, resolutions, and improvements during project execution
  • Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
  • Compares the actual cost of development project to estimates.
  • Analyzes equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
  • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
  • Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining project documentation

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Planswift, and preferably STAAD.Pro

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • AT LEAST three (3) years of experience as project engineer is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
