You will be required to assist in all aspects of the financial planning process, which may at times extend beyond the duties listed below.

Working closely with Financial Planners, you will be responsible for preparing compliant advice documents, supporting strategy development, and assisting with administrative and implementation tasks to ensure seamless client service.

This will require you to draft Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs), conduct research using financial planning tools, and liaise with key stakeholders such as product providers while maintaining clear communication with clients and the team.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare compliant advice documents, including SOAs and ROAs
  • Work closely with Financial Planners to develop tailored strategies and advice
  • Assist the administration team with the implementation of advice
  • Conduct portfolio construction and align investments with client risk profiles using X-Plan tools
  • Perform financial modelling for cash flow and projections
  • Utilise X-Plan functions such as CALM, X Tools Plus, Weathersolver, email management, and client segmentation tools
  • Conduct insurance research and analysis using Risk Researcher
  • Liaise with product providers and other key stakeholders to support advice implementation
  • Contribute to process improvements, team development, and client communication initiatives

You will be fully trained in the specific requirements, and you will be responsible to prioritise your daily workload.

Requirements:

  • Preferred higher education degree
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Paraplanner, ideally in the Australian financial planning industry
  • Proficient in X-Plan (including CALM, X Tools Plus, and Weathersolver)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial strategies, including Centrelink advice
  • Experience in portfolio construction and financial modelling (cash flow and projections)
  • Skilled in preparing compliant advice documents (SOAs/ROAs) and insurance analysis using Risk Researcher
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with Financial Planners and stakeholders
