Role Overview

A benefits analyst is integral to the administration department, specializing in government mandated benefits, HMO benefits, and other company-initiated programs. They are responsible for managing existing company benefits and implementing government mandated benefits in line with these standards. Their efforts to implement help retain and attract new employees by making the company more competitive. The job requires deep knowledge of government mandated benefit regulations governing employee benefits and the ability to interpret data on benefit usage, costs, and satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Process company reimbursement benefits.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely reimbursement.
  • Reviews and audit billings for employee utilizations.
  • Coordinate with the government offices for any issues unresolved and set a timeline for resolutions.
  • Process HMO enrollment, deletion and corrections with HMO provider.
  • Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.

Benefits Admin Projects

  • Support department projects as required.
  • Coordinates the Team's schedule. Ensures ample time for meetings and other projects.
  • Responds to all inquiries and correspondence for the Leaders.
  • Maintains timetables and ensures all deadlines are met. Must be flexible and display initiative in working on new tasks.
  • Administrative tasks are accomplished carefully and thoroughly, with appropriate questions asked when necessary to ensure that the job is done correctly.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of company policies and procedures. Routes mail to appropriate party, retains copy for follow up, and closure.
  • Organizes correspondence in priority order; exercises discretion in ordering documents for immediate action and forwards pertinent correspondence directly to associates for their attention and follow up.

Government Statutory Benefits

  • Knowledgeable in the government statutory benefits process.
  • Coordinates with the government offices and serves as a company representative.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely updating of data.

Skills

  • Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze and interpret reports and cases.
  • Detail-Oriented - Attention to detail in managing government mandated and company benefits programs and reports ensure accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills - Efficiently manage multiple tasks such as government mandated benefits implementation, benefits enrollment and auditing flexible reimbursement data.
  • Communication Skills - Clear and effective communication with employees, management, and external vendors regarding benefit coverage matters.

Relevant Experience Required

  • Have at least 2 years combined experience in the following areas of expertise:
  • Knowledge about government statutory benefits
  • You're organized and can balance multiple projects without missing deadlines.
  • With business writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Can create an audit and validation process of relevant reports.

Educational and Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human resources management or other related courses
