Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company's Philippine operations. This role focuses on day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the Senior Controller and accounting team in financial reporting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of Philippine accounting practices are essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, invoices, and payments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of government compliance filings (BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth).
- Assist in processing payroll data in coordination with external payroll providers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Maintain orderly filing of accounting records, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Assist with preparation of branch-level financial reports for review by the Senior Controller.
- Provide support during internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers for billing and payment-related concerns.
- Respond to requests for financial information and reports as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–3 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax systems (BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth) required.
- Experience with payroll support and compliance filings preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; QuickBooks experience an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Willing to work with overlapping hours to coordinate with U.S. leadership as needed
- Paid leave: Sick, Annual, Public holidays.
- New Hires begin as independent contractors for the first 6 months before they are eligible for a review for full-time employment.
