About the role

We are seeking a talented Design Architect to join our Head Office team at Megawide Construction Corporation. As the Design Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and planning of our construction projects, contributing to the strategic direction and execution of our company's design initiatives. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  1. Lead the design process for major construction projects, from conceptualisation to finalisation
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design plans meet project requirements and budgetary constraints
  3. Oversee the work of junior architects and drafters to ensure design deliverables are of the highest quality
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest architectural trends, technologies and building codes to incorporate innovative solutions
  5. Provide design expertise and guidance to project managers and construction teams
  6. Participate in client presentations and stakeholder meetings to present design concepts and proposals
  7. Ensure all design work complies with relevant regulations, standards and internal policies

What we're looking for

  1. 8+ years of experience as a Design Architect, preferably in the construction industry
  2. Degree in Architecture or a related field, and a registered architect
  3. Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  4. Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  6. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  7. Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of designers and drafters
  8. Passion for design and a keen eye for detail
