The Opportunity

Sungrow Smart Maintenance (Philippines) Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer/Electrical Engineer to join our team in Olongapo City. This is a full-time role within our dynamic Power Generation & Distribution division, where you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art photovoltaic power plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficient and reliable operation of the photovoltaic power plant, ensuring maximum energy output and system performance
  • Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems
  • Monitor and analyse plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve any technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational strategies and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the wider team as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Must be a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer
  • CAN WORK 20 DAYS A MONTH ONLY (Compressed Work Schedule)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of power generation facilities, preferably in the photovoltaic or renewable energy sector
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and performance data
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Proven track record of optimising plant performance and improving operational efficiency
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to safety and a track record of safe work practices
