About Green Attic

Green Attic is a fast-growing insulation, roofing, and energy-efficiency company serving the Greater Chicago area. We rely heavily on high-performing paid media and are looking for a creative, analytical, outside-the-box Google Ads strategist — not someone who relies on ChatGPT for campaign ideas or setup.

We want a genius-level thinker who can architect strategies that outperform competitors, reduce cost per acquisition, and innovate beyond typical industry practices.

Role Overview

The Google Ads & Paid Media Manager will oversee all paid advertising channels, with a primary focus on Google Search, Performance Max, YouTube, Display, and secondary responsibility for Facebook and Instagram ads.

This is a full-time role for an advanced strategist, not an entry-level media buyer.

Key ResponsibilitiesGoogle Ads Management

  • Build and optimize campaigns for Search, PMAX, LSA, YouTube, and Display.
  • Develop original strategies — no copying competitors or using AI-generated plans.
  • Create detailed keyword intent models for every service category.
  • Perform advanced testing of bidding strategies, audience signals, and negative keyword structures.
  • Reduce CPL while maintaining or improving lead quality.
  • Analyze dashboards, conversion data, and call performance to guide decisions.

Facebook & Instagram Ads

  • Build direct-response lead funnels.
  • Create concepts, hooks, and offers from scratch.
  • Test creatives, audiences, and lead forms continuously.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work with SEO, content, design, and operations teams to improve landing page conversions.
  • Build seasonal and behavioral campaigns based on Chicago's weather patterns and service demand.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct Google Ads experience in service-based industries (home services preferred).
  • Proven results in scaling campaigns with strong CPL and ROI.
  • Deep knowledge of:

  • PMAX structures
  • Bidding strategies
  • Audience layering
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking — independent from AI tools.
  • Ability to create new angles, hooks, and test ideas nobody else is using.
