Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the research and analysis of tax developments and their application to specific business situations
  • Assists in other tax department activities, including projects, research, and tax examinations
  • Responsible for checking the completeness and appropriateness of required accounting schedules, tax accounting reconciliation, and BIR Alphalist/summary lists reports vs. tax group's checklist of requirements for periodic Tax Compliance Review
  • Assists in checking the existence, completeness, and BIR's substantiation requirements on taxable transactions through vouching of relevant documents from selected samples
  • Assists in the preparation of Tax incentive TIMTA reports for BOI and PEZA registered affiliates and subject to immediate superior's review
  • To represent tax group before the office of taxing authorities for tax-related/relevant purposes
  • Performs other tax duties assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and a CPA Board Passer
  • Preferably with at least one (1) to two (2) years of relevant working experience in an accounting/audit firm or in a private company as a Tax Compliance Personnel
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet client expectations and deadline
  • Must be knowledgeable in BIR, BOI, and PEZA tax laws and issuances
  • Experience specialized in corporate tax compliance audit and financial reporting
  • Must be trustworthy, and flexible. diligent, keen on details and solution-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Willing to work and be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City and Legazpi City.
