The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, responding to emergency repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Assist in planning and implementing electrical upgrades or modifications.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate work and resolve electrical problems promptly.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., Journeyman Electrician license) preferred.
  • Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.
