Are you a detail-driven professional with a background in healthcare or pharmacy support MedVA is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our growing team onsite at Jollibee Tower, Ortigas. If you have experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and prescription refill coordination—and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting—this role is for you

What You'll Do

  • Manage high-volume administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, phone handling, and medical record organization
  • Respond professionally to patient and provider inquiries, adapting to fluctuating call volumes
  • Coordinate and facilitate telemedicine consultations and virtual care sessions
  • Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and other documentation in real time
  • Assist with prescription refill requests, liaising with pharmacies and providers
  • Conduct insurance verification and support prior authorization processes
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, follow-ups, and general inquiries
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinical workflows
  • Perform light medical research to support provider decision-making when needed

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting US-based healthcare clients
  • Prior experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or in a front-desk/admin healthcare role
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical software platforms. EPIC experience required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, including verification and prior auth
  • Experience with prescription refills and pharmacy coordination
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and HIPAA compliance
  • Preferred but not required: Graduate or licensed in an Allied Health profession
  • Willingness to undergo training and stay current with industry best practices
