Job Title: Certified First Aider with COSH

Job Summary:

The Certified First Aider with COSH ensures the health and safety of all workers on-site by providing immediate medical care in case of accidents or emergencies and by supporting the implementation of occupational safety and health standards. This role works closely with the Safety Officer and project management team to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid treatment to injured or ill employees on-site.
  • Assess and respond to workplace accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies.
  • Monitor and maintain first aid kits, emergency supplies, and medical equipment.
  • Assist the Safety Officer in implementing COSH policies and safety programs.
  • Conduct health and safety orientations or toolbox meetings related to first aid and emergency response.
  • Maintain accurate medical and incident reports for all injuries and emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE and OSH standards related to workplace health and safety.
  • Support in evacuation drills, risk assessments, and safety inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any medical-related course (Nursing, EMT, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Must be a Certified First Aider (with valid certificate from Red Cross or equivalent).
  • Must have completed COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) training (DOLE-accredited).
  • Preferably with at least 1 year experience in construction, industrial, or safety-related work.
  • Knowledgeable in basic life support (BLS) and emergency response procedures.
  • Physically fit, alert, and able to handle stressful situations.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
