QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of experience as a First Aider in construction, industrial, or field environment.
  • With valid First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR AED) Certificate, issued by:
  • Philippine Red Cross, DOH, BFP, or TESDA
  • Knowledge in emergency response, wound care, handling fractures, and patient assessment.
  • Physically fit and able to respond quickly during emergencies.
  • Preferably with experience working alongside Safety Officers.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. EMERGENCY RESPONSE

  • Provide immediate first aid treatment to injured or ill workers.
  • Perform Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and AED operation when needed.
  • Assess minor injuries and determine if the worker needs referral to a clinic or hospital.
  • Respond promptly to site accidents, emergencies, and incidents.

B. MEDICAL MONITORING & DOCUMENTATION

  • Maintain accurate records of all treatments, injuries, and medical incidents.
  • Prepare incident reports and submit them to the Safety Officer or HR.
  • Monitor workers with minor conditions and check their recovery progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical information.

C. FIRST AID KITS & EQUIPMENT

  • Conduct regular inventory of first aid kits and medical supplies.
  • Ensure that all first aid kits are complete, updated, and compliant with DOLE standards.
  • Request replenishment of supplies when necessary.

D. HEALTH & SAFETY SUPPORT

  • Assist the Safety Officer in implementing health and safety policies on-site.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings when health matters are discussed.
  • Support emergency drills such as fire, evacuation, and rescue drills.
  • Educate workers on basic first aid and safety reminders when needed.

E. COORDINATION

  • Coordinate with the Safety Officer for any medical concerns.
  • Escort injured workers to medical facilities when necessary.
  • Maintain communication with HR regarding medical incidents and documentation.
