UNIXSURPLUS, INC. is a US based company, Located in Sunnyvale, California. We are an established wholesale distributor who offers high quality servers, storage units, components, and networking equipment to customers worldwide.

This is an office-based position and must be willing to work in our office in Davao City. You will be required to have a computer, headset, and microphone or any device during your online interviews.

Position: ACCOUNTANT

  1. Educational Background

  2. A degree in Accounting is preferred.

  3. with a strong bookkeeping background

  4. Training or Work Experience

  5. At least 3 years of accounting experience

  6. Must have strong experience with QuickBooks desktop and Quickbooks online
  7. Familiarity with accounting systems like Xero, or MYOB is a plus.

  8. Familiar with US Accounting standards and practices is a PLUS.

  9. Certification Programs

Certification:

  • National Institute of Accounting Technicians (NIAT):
  • Offers the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) program in partnership with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) in the UK.
  • Requirements for the program usually include:
  • Completion of the ICB's training modules.
  • Passing the relevant exams, which cover areas such as journal preparation, ledger accounts, and financial reporting.

  • Other institutions or online courses offering bookkeeping certifications.

  • Professional Associations

  • National Institute of Accounting Technicians (NIAT)

  • Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB)

  • Licensed Bookkeeper

  • Skills Development

Proficiency in:

  • Accounting principles
  • Taxation laws in the Philippines
  • Payroll processing

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or accounting software.

  • PRC Licensure (Optional)

  • a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines.

Key Traits/Skills:
