A Day in the Life

Your day involves securing the premises, maintaining access control, and conducting regular patrols of the campus (dorms, classrooms, common areas). You monitor CCTV feeds (if applicable), log all incidents, and enforce house rules, particularly during student curfew hours. You serve as the main deterrent against unauthorized entry and respond calmly and professionally to any security or medical emergency on site.

Specific Scope and Duties

  • Control and monitor all entry and exit points for staff, students, visitors, and vendors, verifying identification and logging details.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols of the entire campus and perimeter, documenting any security risks or unusual activities.
  • Monitor and operate the CCTV system, promptly reporting any suspicious activity to the Coordinator.
  • Enforce school security policies and house rules, noise control, and visitor policies.
  • Respond immediately to alarms, emergencies (fire, medical), and student/staff distress calls, following established protocols.
  • Proactive Campus Support: When security tasks are quiet, assist the COL team with minor, non-specialized tasks such as assisting with package movement or securing supply deliveries.
  • Interacts with: SLCS (for dorm security/curfew checks); Admin Staff (for visitor authorization).

What We Expect of You

  • Qualifications: A valid Security Guard License (SGL) (optional).
  • Education: High school diploma. Relevant training/certification in first aid is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in security services, preferably in a school, hotel, or residential setting.
  • English Level: Basic (A2)—Required for logging incidents and essential communication with students and emergency services.

Schedule and Other Requirements

  • Department & Supervisor: Campus Operations & Logistics (COL); Reports to: Campus Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Schedule: Highly Flexible. Shift work is mandatory (e.g., 8-hour or 12-hour shifts) to ensure 24/7 campus coverage (requires willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Compensation: Generally follows the Minimum Wage Base for security professionals in the region, plus benefits and company incentives.
  • Strict Requirements: Must have a clean criminal record (NBI Clearance required). Must maintain a high degree of alertness and physical fitness.
