Who You Are

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a strong advantage, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
    , ideally in a start-up, FMCG, cosmetics, or e-commerce company
  • Strong 
    business mindset
     — thinks like an owner, understands impact of financial decisions
  • Open to candidates who run or have run their own business (must meet compliance/time requirements)
  • Proficient in accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar)
  • Knowledge of PH taxation, payroll, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple priorities
  • Can work independently and takes initiative
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, and process builder
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Chinese language proficiency is a plus, but not required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fundraising, due diligence, or investor reporting
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Lazada, Shopee)
  • Background in multinational or fast-paced start-up environments


What You'll Do

You'll take the lead in setting up, managing, and optimizing the company's accounting, finance, and admin systems. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about helping a business scale from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage accounting systems, financial tools, and processes
  • Handle bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger
  • Prepare financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliation
  • Monitor and report on cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory bodies
  • Prepare and file VAT returns, income taxes, and financial reports
  • Manage payroll and coordinate statutory requirements with HR
  • Support audit, legal, and compliance matters
  • Provide financial insights for strategic planning
  • Work closely with the founders on business planning and investment readiness
