Project in Charge

Basic Purpose:

To provide technical assistance in Engineering relative to construction technologies, methodologies, innovations, standards and specifications to be more competitive in the real estate industry.

Major Responsibilities:

A. Engineering

1. Reviews, evaluates and checks plans, bill of materials, specifications submitted / forwarded to Production to guarantee optimum / effective costs and plan for execution at project sites.

2. Coordinates / works with Planning and Design Architects / Engineers and Field Site Management Engineers by making studies on new trends, methodologies, technologies, techniques and current construction innovations in the construction industry. Prepares technical reports and recommendations for approval of management on applicability of new building systems, technologies, methodologies, techniques and construction innovations.

3. Supervises the on going housing validation activities in coordination with the Validation Engineers / Site Management Engineers / Planning and Design at site and finalizes the Bill of Material for approval. Validates thru the Sites Project Management / field Engineers the actual bill of materials used in every housing units to serve as final Bill of Materials.

4. Updates Production Head on status / progress of construction of on going units under validation with project status reports and validation reports discussing concerns, issues encountered and possible problems / hindrances to achieve commitments, goals and objectives.

5. Assists the Operations Manager/Asst. Operations Manager in ensuring timely delivery of housing units of acceptable quality workmanship by coordinating / monitoring / working with site management of all ongoing projects, giving recommendations on issues concerning project implementations / executions relative to engineering aspect of construction.

6. Provides "Value Engineering Work" of a proposed project.

7. Provides assistance on trainings of Field / Site Engineers, Project Management team and on contractors' development programs.

8. Assist in the preparation of program of works of a project by preparing program of works considering budgetary requirements, work schedules, scope of works and activities of a certain project and by overseeing and monitoring the implementation and progress / status / accomplishment.

9. Oversees Engineering in project developmental plans by checking and recommending plans, bill of materials and scope works to get top management approval needed for the execution of the project.

10. Evaluates the performance of staff based on accomplishment via Performance Appraisal System.

11. Perform other related tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Production Manager.

B. Team Management

1. Trains and develops staff to achieve quality performance and quality service through delegation, empowerment and proper guidance.

2. Ensure manpower stability of department staff through constant motivation to maintain focus on specific and defined tasks and makes sure that goals are met.

3. Provides appropriate coaching, counseling, discipline and motivation to all direct reports to maintain a balanced and healthy work environment through positive interaction.

4. Conducts regular appraisal reviews of all direct reports and discussed and signed by the employee before submitting to HRD for evaluation of specific goals and action plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php33,000.00 per month
