Job Description: Management Intern (Office of the Interim National Director)

Position Title: Management Intern – Office of the Interim National Director
Number of Interns: 5
Location: Makati City
Reporting to: Internship Director (who liaises with the Interim National Director)
Duration: 6 months
Work arrangement: Full‑time onsite.
Compensation/Stipend: Volunteer
Mission of the Role. The Management Interns will provide dedicated support to the Interim National Director's office, helping to ensure that the foundation's strategic, operational, and stakeholder‑engagement activities run smoothly. Each intern will be assigned a key support area (administration, research & strategy, communications, project coordination, operations) and will work closely with the Internship Director as the primary point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned support area, the Intern will perform tasks such as:
Administration & Office Support: (a) Manage the Interim National Director's calendar, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes. (b) Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for events, external engagements, and internal site visits. (c) Maintain document and filing systems, track action items, follow up on outstanding deadlines.
Research & Strategy Support: (a) Conduct background research on sector trends, funding opportunities, partner organisations, or policy environment. (b) Assist in drafting briefing notes, dashboards, or decision‑papers for the Interim National Director and senior leadership. (c) Assist in preparation for strategy workshops, retreats, or board/steering‑committee sessions.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement: (a) Draft communications (internal memos, email updates, presentation slides) under guidance. (b) Prepare content or assist in updating digital and social media channels, with messaging aligned with the foundation's mission. (c) Support donor/partner liaison tasks: scheduling, tracking engagements, preparing follow‑up materials.
Project Coordination & Implementation Support: (a) Assist in coordinating cross‑team tasks, monitoring project timelines, flagging risks or delays. (b) Support the tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports. (c) Take ownership of specific mini‑projects as assigned (e.g., internal survey, event organisation) from concept to execution.
Operations & Compliance Support: (a) Support procurement/vendor coordination for office or program needs, assist in logistics. (b) Help ensure documentation is complete for audits or internal reviews; assist with adherence to internal policies and procedures. (c) Assist with staff/volunteer onboarding tasks, meeting set‑up, and general office operations.
Qualifications & Competencies
Current college student (undergraduate) in Business Administration, Development Studies, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable drafting professional documents.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new tools.
Interest in the NGO/non‑profit sector, especially in housing, community development, or social impact work.
Proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
