Job Summary:

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily transportation operations of the company. This role ensures that deliveries, logistics, and transport activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrival.
  • Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding schedules and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Address and resolve transportation-related issues or delays.
  • Assist in optimizing routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare reports on transportation performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or coordination roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/transport management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in transport operations.
