Network Senior Supervisor

About the Role

The Network Senior Supervisor oversees daily installation, maintenance, and performance of KCAT's cable and internet systems. This role ensures network reliability, manages field technicians, and supports network expansion and optimization initiatives.

This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and operational management skills to ensure KCAT delivers stable, high-quality service to subscribers across Negros Island.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Operations & Planning

• Supervise daily operations including installation, troubleshooting, and field maintenance.

• Implement operational plans to improve reliability and performance.

• Coordinate with engineering teams on system upgrades and expansions.

• Oversee preventive maintenance programs.

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead, train, and evaluate network and field technicians.

• Set goals and monitor productivity, safety, and service quality.

• Enforce accountability, safety standards, and technical compliance.

• Foster a culture of ownership and teamwork.

3. Service Quality & Customer Support

• Ensure timely resolution of network incidents and service issues.

• Coordinate with customer service teams for escalations and restorations.

• Conduct quality assurance checks and field audits.

4. Compliance, Safety & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with technical standards and local regulations.

• Maintain records of incidents, maintenance logs, and network activities.

• Conduct routine inspections of tools, equipment, and field processes.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Support network automation and performance monitoring tools.

• Contribute to process optimizations and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.

• 5–7 years of experience in network operations or technical supervision.

• Strong understanding of fiber optic, HFC, and broadband networks.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficient in network management tools and diagnostics.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Fiber Optic).

• Experience managing large-scale fiber or HFC networks.

• Exposure to advanced monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).

• Project management certification (PMP or similar).

• Background in automation or optimization initiatives.

• Familiarity with emerging broadband technologies.
