Job Objective:
Lead the development and execution of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging solutions. Manage a high-performing team and ensure alignment of packaging strategies with business goals, regulatory standards, and timelines.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Packaging Strategy & Innovation:
    Drive long-term packaging innovation plans and roadmaps aligned with brand and product goals. Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and apply relevant solutions to optimize performance, cost, and sustainability.

  • Project & Process Leadership:
    Manage end-to-end packaging development — from design and testing to implementation and commercialization. Conduct risk assessments, lead technical reviews, and ensure all outputs meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with R&D, QA, Manufacturing, Procurement, and external partners to deliver cohesive packaging solutions. Maintain consistent communication on project status, specifications, and challenges.

  • Team Development & Management:
    Build and mentor a team of packaging engineers/designers. Allocate resources, oversee project execution, and ensure delivery of team KPIs. Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team.

  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, project records, and testing results. Ensure all packaging complies with internal standards and government regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • 10 years in manufacturing (at least 8 in food industry).

  • 4 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Strong background in product/package/process development and commercialization.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced project management and strategic planning.

  • Deep understanding of packaging technologies, materials, and sustainability practices.

  • Proficient in MS Office and digital tools.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Financial acumen; ability to analyze category/business performance.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative and solution-driven approach.

  • Presentation skills and working knowledge of culinary/nutrition is a plus.
